Aluminium sheet is a material used widely in industrial business. It is formed from aluminium blocks which are then processed into flat and thin slices. It is among the essential material used in various industries. Unlike any other common metal, aluminium sheet is used not only in construction industries. This is because aluminium has property and character that makes it best fit in wide array of industries. The consumption of aluminium sheet in nowadays industry is countless. The usage varies according to characters of the sheet, mainly the thickness, but each category is always under constant huge demand. For its flexibility, and can be prepared and formed using various methods; pressed, rolled, punched, and even sliced. Examples of aluminium usage are; Food industry The thinnest of aluminium sheet is called foil. It is commonly available on the market, and vastly used alongside food product. Among the uses of aluminium foil is in food preparation. For example, a fish is wrapped with the foil, together with spice and seasoning, and is then grilled in the oven. The foil will ensure even heat distribution and trap the flavor into the fish at the same time. It is also used in food delivery, where freshly baked food item is wrapped in aluminium foil before being delivered in order to retain the heat and aroma. Audio and radio transmission industry Another example on the usage of aluminium sheet is in audio business involvingradio waves transmission. Similar to copper, aluminium has a property that could block radio waves. In audio industry, this is essential as radio waves could interfere with the sound output, especially in a recording studio, where the sound must only come from a specific instrument only, uninterrupted by any other interference even by the slightest. High-end guitar manufacturers also utilizes aluminium sheet in their electric guitars, where the cavity that houses the pickup is lined with aluminium foil, so zero noise originated from unwanted radio frequency interference will come out of the sound amplifier. Aviation industry Aluminium sheet is also used in forming the fuselage of aeroplanes, aircrafts, and even spaceships. In this industry, aluminium is more preferred than other kind of metal because of its abundance and characters; light and strong. Aluminium has higher resistance against heat, and this is paramount in an industry that involves vessels that are constantly travelling at high speed at various height. Apart from protection, aluminium also provides excellent insulation against heat changes, be it hot or cold. It is also very resilient against rust and other form of oxidation, making it more lasting than conventional metal hence why it is preferred in various manufacturing industries. Automobile industry To form a whole body of a car, material used must be sturdy, light, and flexible. Aluminium sheet has always been a top pick for almost all car manufacturers. The characters of aluminium make it suitable for construction of of doors, roof, hoods, and multiple impact zone around the the car. Other part that requires more strength and rigidity such as the chassis, metal is used instead of aluminium. Conclusion As of this day, aluminium comes in abundance and has been greatly utilized by various manufacturers of various industries. The utilization is countless. Only time will tell what other potential can this wonderful material unleash that we could benefit in the continuous pursuit of advancement and modernization.
